Martin Šlechta Wins Rifle Event at European Combined Game Shooting Championship with CZ 600 RANGE

CZ factory shooter Martin Šlechta achieved an outstanding result at the European Championship in Combined Game Shooting, held from 3 to 5 July 2026 in Pärnu, Estonia. Competing against 157 shooters, he won the rifle event with an excellent score of 397 out of a possible 400 points.

The European Championship took place at the modern Pärnu Shooting Range, located on the outskirts of the city in a pine forest. The three-day program combined rifle and shotgun disciplines, putting the shooters’ skills to the test against strong European competition.

Martin Šlechta competed in the rifle event with a CZ 600 RANGE chambered in 223 Rem., equipped with a Meopta 6–24×56 MT 223 riflescope and Sellier & Bellot HPBT ammunition. He scored 199 points in the first part of the competition and added another 198 points in the second. With a total score of 397 out of a possible 400 points, he secured first place.

“On the first day, I dropped just one point out of twenty shots on the running boar, with all my other shots scoring tens. On the final day, I scored 50 points on the fox, 50 on the roe deer and 50 on the chamois. That gave me a good foundation, and I finished with two nines on the running boar,” Martin Šlechta said, describing his performance.

The successful performance of the Czech representatives was further highlighted by second place in the team standings of the rifle event. The Czech team achieved a total score of 1,944 points, finishing behind Sweden, who took first place with 1,960 points. Germany finished third with 1,932 points.

The victory in the rifle event of the European Championship demonstrated the qualities of the CZ 600 RANGE, whose accuracy, ergonomics and balance provided Martin with reliable support throughout the demanding competition.
